Our grandson born July 11th 2011

We arrived in England on Thursday July 7th, the baby's due date.  The last few weeks have been spent hoping the baby doesn't decide to make an early appearance :)

So friday came and went, no signs.... Saturday arrived, lets try and move things along, nannie and grandad are only here for two weeks little man!!
Raspberry tea isn't doing anything, let's go for a walk into town, poor Gemma it was a pretty warm  day and she was obviously uncomfortable.
She had been told to try pineapples, but as she doesn't like them it was going to be a last resort lol, before we headed for Asda for some grocery shopping, and the pineapples, well you never know ;),we had to find some nursery furniture.

Four hours later furniture bought, shopping done we headed back to Gemmas,so lets have a curry, a hot one for Gemma, and a sympathy hot one for Dad, lol.  Curries ordered, pineapple smoothies made, I did add extra fruit to disguise the taste, and Gemma did say it was good, but after two pints she said enough was enough lol.

It's now 11pm, on Saturday night and Gemma says "well Dad if you want some bump photos now might be a good time" :0

Bump photos done....

Gemma is obviously uncomfortable but no real signs of labour, until 30 minutes later when she stands up and says "oh I'm dribbling", after we had all finished laughing it was fairly clear, it was her amniotic fluid and yes she was dribbling :D
Yay, not long now... hmmm who said that?...

After getting cleaned up and changed, she is still 'dribbling' so we decide to phone the hospital, they asked us to attend the delivery suite for a quick check up but would probably be sent home while her contractions develop.
As Phils older son was in bed, Gemma and I went, no point disturbing Bradley we'll be home again in a couple of hours, or will we!
